When you shine a light on a sphere, it creates an oval shadow. Once this shape is repeated, the interplay of open and closed begins. The light source glows from within, catching the top edge of each opening and creating a dramatic play of light and shadow. The result is an organic shape, something that feels as if it had originated from outer space or perhaps the bottom of the ocean.
